A CV can show where I worked. This page is about what shapes how I show up, what I value and the things I keep exploring when nobody asked me to.
What matters to me
Family keeps work in perspective. At work, the human being comes first for me too. Products, processes and organisations are only useful when they help real people do something better.
I value directness, reliability and kindness. I would rather surface an uncomfortable truth early than let ambiguity become someone else's problem. And when things get difficult, I tend to stay, listen and help.

- Writing and hostingI have maintained my personal blog for years and enjoy the technical work that comes with hosting things myself.
- A small corner of the social webI run my own Mastodon instance, partly because independent infrastructure is interesting and partly because ownership matters.
- A house that can helpI have gradually turned our home into a practical smart home. The best automation is the one you stop noticing.
- Making physical things3D printing gives me a different way to move from a problem to a usable object, one iteration at a time.
Good to know
I am not naturally good at selling myself, and I often question whether I know enough. The useful side of that self-doubt is that I prepare, listen and keep learning. The less useful side is that I sometimes understate what I have already done. This site is my attempt to let the evidence speak more clearly.
I am calm rather than quiet about important things. I enjoy technical detail but do not confuse it with product value. I like people who disagree thoughtfully, teams that share context and solutions that are simpler after the hard thinking has happened.
